We’ve grown. We’ve strengthened our local presence. We’ve reinforced our team. We’ve improved the way we listen, support, and take action. 2024 has been a year of introspection — reaffirming our way of working: with rigour, closeness, and commitment to people. And we’re proud to share it with you in our new annual report.

Opening a new office in Lleida has been an important step to continue offering close, quality support to people living in the Ponent region, who now represent 20% of the people we support. This growth comes from a merger by absorption of a local entity in Lleida, but we also believe it is a recognition of the support model we’ve been defending for years: person-centred, tailored to individual preferences and wishes, and committed to each person’s rights and opportunities.

In fact, in 2024 we actively participated in the political and social debate on the reform of the Catalan Civil Code regarding legal capacity. We did so under the umbrella of Dincat and alongside other organisations in the sector, with the will to contribute to a real transformation of the support model — one that places each individual’s will at the centre.

Consolidating also means taking care of the people who make our work possible. Over the past five years, our professional team has grown by 28%, directly responding to the rise in people we support. This growth makes us feel grateful and commits us to continue working with the highest quality and responsibility.

On the other hand, our volunteer programme — a key part of our mission — continues to receive recognition: in 2024, it received the inDRET award from the organisation ECOM for the inclusive volunteer programme #JoTbPuc. We currently have 57 active volunteers, and nearly 1 in 3 have been collaborating for over 10 years. This continuity reflects the genuine bonds that are built and the value of sharing time and experiences.

We have also continued to advance in social innovation. We developed an app that allows people to easily access their documentation and information about the support they receive, thanks to a grant from the Next Generation Funds. In addition, we created a proprietary methodology — recognised at the European level — to adjust the intensity of support based on the complexity factors of each case. Small improvements that, when combined, can make a big difference.

Finally, our programmes and projects, designed to improve the quality of the service we provide, remain focused on people’s real needs: this year we carried out over 10,000 medical accompaniments, 3 people began their independent living projects after leaving institutional settings, and we continued to promote inclusive leisure activities like our Christmas and Epiphany lunches, the “Feria de Abril” (the famous Seville Spring Fair, which is also celebrated in Barcelona.), and artistic meetups.
