The Epiphany Lunch is one of the most eagerly awaited traditions at Som – Fundació. This annual event symbolizes much more than just a meal: it is a space for gathering, joy, and sharing that strengthens the bonds between the people we support, the organization’s staff, and the board members.
A Warm Atmosphere and Exceptional Menu
This year, the lunch was held on a Saturday, a change introduced due to the significant increase in the number of people supported in Lleida since 2022, when Som – Fundació absorbed a local organization. Since then, the number of people supported has tripled, significantly boosting attendance at events like this one. The Nastasi Hotel in Lleida, with its welcoming atmosphere, was the perfect venue for this gathering.
The menu was one of the highlights of the day, featuring a varied and delicious selection that pleased everyone. The lunch also provided a key moment to foster conversations and enriching interactions among the attendees. Finally, we toasted to a prosperous 2025 with alcohol-free sparkling drinks.
A Moment to Recognize Talent
The event featured special moments, such as the presentation of awards for the Christmas Card Contest, an initiative that highlights the creativity and artistic talent of the people we support. The most-voted card was created by Gisela Ramos, followed by Maite Samón’s card, which was awarded during the Christmas Lunch in Barcelona, and Jordi Sàries’ card, who received his award in Lleida.
This recognition not only rewards the participants’ effort and enthusiasm but also reinforces the sense of community and belonging at Som – Fundació.
Interaction and Proximity with the Team
The Three Kings Lunch is a unique opportunity for the people we support to talk directly with the staff in Lleida and members of the board. This relaxed setting encourages dialogue and trust, strengthening meaningful relationships and reaffirming the foundation’s commitment to the people it accompanies.
We look forward to next year, with more reasons to celebrate our journey together and to continue working on supporting legal capacity and empowering people with disabilities.
