At Som – Fundació we have a stable group of inclusive leisure made up of people with intellectual disabilities with a high degree of autonomy. This group is called Som Companys, whose goal is to promote social interaction, inclusive leisure, emotional well-being and the empowerment of the people we support.
This group is coordinated by two professionals from the social field of our entity. Through a WhatsApp group, they propose meetings every month, in which they carry out activities that are of interest to the people who make it up.
This time, the Som Companys group went for a boat ride through the port of Barcelona. It was a very fun and endearing outing, since the group was able to see the city from this privileged point of view.
The Som Companys group is one of the projects promoted by Som – Fundació to improve the quality of the service we provide to people with intellectual disabilities that we support. To make this possible, we have the collaboration of Barcelona City Council, thanks to which the group can sometimes carry out such extraordinary and pleasant activities as this one.
