This 2022 has been a year of adaptation of great changes in the conception and organization of support for legal capacity in decision-making for people with intellectual disabilities, but also of consolidation of the presence of our entity throughout Catalonia.
The merger by absorption of the Terres de Lleida Foundation opens a path full of possibilities that we will explore during this new year that is coming. Not in vain, this integration has brought us 109 new persons users and 8 new workers who, together with the team that was already present in Lleida, will support practically 20% of the people we support. A challenge that we face with responsibility and enthusiasm and that responds to one of the objectives set by our Strategic Plan.
On the other hand, the landing of the legal reform that regulates the support system has brought us news in our day to day. Some changes to which we will continue to adapt thanks to the involvement and commitment of all the people who make up the great family of Som – Fundació: persons users, workers, volunteers and people and families of the Som Futur program. We are all walking together towards a common horizon: improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities by promoting their autonomy, self-determination and social inclusion.
Because without you, we wouldn’t be what we are: Som – Fundació!
