Last Thursday, 10 persons users and volunteers were able to listen and share a relaxed concert by the Municipal Music Band, Apropa’t a l’Orient Express (Come closer to the Orient Express, in Catalan). A musical event that they enjoyed thanks to the collaboration of Apropa Cultura.
The Orient Express was an iconic long-distance train line that connected Paris and Istanbul between 1883 and 2009. But, above all, it is known for the novel Murder on the Orient Express, by Agatha Christie, and its film adaptation.
And inspired by this atmosphere of mystery, the Barcelona Municipal Band performed a musical journey with stops in London, Munich, the Danube, and Romania. An unforgettable journey for all tastes in the incomparable setting of l’Auditori Barcelona. A concert that our volunteers enjoyed, accompanied by the people we support.
Why a relaxed concert?
Because it was aimed at making the entire audience feel comfortable and relaxed. Thus, the lights in the hall were lowered and the entrance and exit of the auditorium was allowed, if necessary. Nor was it essential to maintain silence.
